Coach
Where are you from: I grew up right here in Missoula. Went to high school in Hamilton, Montana. Then came back to college and never left.
What is your day job: I have been a teacher for 17 years. I teach 5th grade at Chief Charlo Elementary School, and it is such an amazingly awesome job. I also am in graduate school to receive my Administration License.
What do you do for fun outside of CrossFit: My husband and I chase our 3 kids around at their different activities. Sometimes I read a book.
What makes a good coach: I think a good coach is patient, has many tricks up their sleeve, and knows when a person needs cheering on when they needs a nudge to push harder than they think they can.
Why did you become a CrossFit coach: I loved the coaches and overall community at ZooTown CrossFit. I wanted to be a part of that crew. Also, on the kid's side, I was excited to get that program up and running to see kids do awesome things. Helping kids and doing CrossFit are my two favorite things— it worked out pretty darn well!
What is your favorite workout: Anything with power cleans, rowing, and box jumps.
What are your certifications: CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Gymnastics.
