Programmer, Founder and Former Owner
Where did you grow up: Miles City, Montana
What is your day job: Missoula City Firefighter
What do you do for fun outside of CrossFit: I enjoy things that go FAST! Cars, motorcycles, and life (mostly the fast pace of balancing the gym, work, and all the other stresses)!
What makes a good coach: I believe truly caring about people and making them better is the key to being a good coach. Getting rid of the egos, understanding everyone has a struggle in life, and figuring out what motivates people all while keeping it fun is what I strive to remember with everyone who walks through the doors.
Why did you become a CrossFit coach: Sue Habbe forced it on me! Sue told me I was going to coach her and that she was going to the Games- I figured I better get educated! The rest is history and I still love it to this day!
What is your favorite workout: I really don’t have a favorite workout— I enjoy and hate them all equally. I believe in community and it makes every workout better when going next to someone experiencing it with you.
What are your certifications: CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. CrossFit Level 2 Trainer. CrossFit Strongman. CrossFit Powerlifting. CrossFit Kettlebell. CrossFit Rowing. CrossFit Weightlifting. CrossFit Kids. CrossFit Gymnastics. CrossFit Competitors Trainer. USAW Certified Sports Level 1 Performance Coach. 2010 Regional Team Competitor. 2013 Individual Regional Competitor. Coach of 2x CrossFit Games Masters Champion, Sue Habbe.
